Don't Talk About a Pickle

Look very closely at my Christmas Tree. Do you see something that I said I wasn't putting on my tree?

Did you find it? It is the Christmas pickle that I talked about earlier. At the end of my last pickle post, I said that I did not plan on purchasing this ornament and that I did not plan on starting this tradition. Well, my mom thought otherwise.

I made the mistake of talking to my family about this tradition and making a big deal over it. I told them that I did some research and explained the whole thing to them. Well, my mom thought that I really wanted one considering how much I talked about it. So, she proceeded to purchase me, my sister, and herself one for our Christmas trees. Also, my aunt purchased 3 for her side of the family. So, by blogging about this, I sold 6 of these ornaments. Amazing!!!

After telling my mom that I wasn't really wanting one, she told me, "well, next time, don't blog about it if you don't want one." I didn't have a comeback for that one. Very good point, I guess!

  1. I usually buy an ornament every year for Alaina. One year, about oh 7 or 8 years ago, I wanted to buy a pickle ornament because she absolutely loves pickles. She gets that from her aunt Shonda, by the way. Anyway, I found one at Yarn It and discovered the traditon. She has fun trying to find it on the tree every year. Enjoy your pickles and your traditions! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
