Let me tell you, hair is a very important part of a girl's life. It doesn't matter how old or how young she may be. My daughter at the age of 2 is already becoming aware of the importance. Not all women are obsessive about their hair, but I would be one of the ones that is on the obsessive side. If you have known me for awhile, you know I have gone through all different types of hair style changes. I have had long hair, short, shoulder-length, blonde, dark brown (briefly), curly, and straight. I guess my hair has been a way for me to show my mood and personality during particular times. It is a way to express myself that isn't permanent!
So, I decided to show you what products and styling tools I use on a daily basis...
My hair care Army!
1. ConAir Ion Shine 1875 Blow dryer - This has been an excellent blow dryer so far. It doesn't blow as hot or as hard as older ones, which doesn't damage your hair as bad.
2. Solia Tourmaline Ceramic Ion Flat Iron (1-1/4") - I have used this flat iron for approximately 3 years now and I love it. It has a blue plate and has an adjustable temperature setting. I previously used a CHI iron for several years and it continuously broke on me and/or it would stop getting hot. So, I decided to make a switch, and I am glad I did. If you purchase the flat iron from Folica.com, then they give you a 2-year warranty, which I have used.
I have used many different types of shampoo and conditioner over the years. Spending a lot of money on these things was very common for me up until a couple of years ago. My philosophy was, "If it is more expensive, then it must be better!" Then, when I started watching Project Runway one season and they were using TRESemme, and at the same time, I saw Stacey London from What Not To Wear as the spokeswoman for Pantene, I decided to try them out. And, I am so glad I did! Now, I save a little bit of money, but still love my hair care products.
5. Static Guard - As crazy as it may sound, when I am straightening my hair, I use Static Guard instead of hair spray. I do not like hairspray! My hair is really thick and the Static Guard allows my hair to lay down, but doesn't feel like I have a ton of product on it. If you haven't tried it, you should.
6. TRESemme Ultra Fine Mist Hairspray - Like I said before, I do not like hairspray, so I use this when I need a little. It gives my hair enough spray to stay in place, but isn't really heavy.
I will make sure to keep you updated on new hair products and accessories I decide to use in the future...
