I think Jen from Tatertots & Jello has changed my life! I am not kidding. For several years, I have wanted to change up the furniture I currently have in my house. But, lets be honest... This teacher is on a budget and doesn't have the money to go out and have a furniture shopping spree. So, I had to decide to choose another route.
A couple of weeks ago, Jen posted the reveal of her gallery wall in her entryway. Here is an awesome photo of it..
Ahhhh!!! Do you see what I see?!?! That yellow table!!! Oh my goodness. It is breathtaking. Now, I want to paint all of the furniture that I am not in love with in my home. And, I have actually started the process. I have two coats of paint on my entryway table. One more coat and some glaze, then I can call that piece done. I am actually attempting a gallery wall myself like this one, but different colors.
Next, these items will fall victim to my painted furniture fascination & love:
- the playroom entertainment center
- my dresser
- my daughter's dresser
- and, the list may go on...
So, today, I am devoting my Friday's Inspiration to painted furniture. Notice how painting a piece of furniture can totally transform a room. Sometimes all you need is a pop of color!!!
