Happy Tuesday everyone! Sorry this post is a little later than usual. I got really behind with my daughter's birthday yesterday.
Today, I wanted to share with you how I currently store my shoes in my closet. Honestly, there isn't one way that I store my growing collection. I have tried so many different ways of storing shoes (some ways I have liked more than others). But, right now, I am pretty satisfied with my most recent method. When you have a small walk-in closet that you share with your husband, you have to get a little creative. So, keep in mind, that there are many other ways that I would love to try, but I just don't have the space at the moment.
My collection of shoes are broken up into three categories: dress shoes, flip flops, and everyday shoes.
That is right folks... Nothing fancy at all about the way I keep my everyday shoes.
Since I wear these shoes a lot, I don't see the point in purchasing storage for them.
So, they get to hang out on the floor.
A closeup of their house.
And, one more.
I have two of these baskets that sit on my floor under my dresses & pants.
Each one holds my collection of flip flops. Have I told y'all lately that I am a HUGE
flip flop fan?!?!
Basket #1 - The Yellow Box basket... My all-time favorite flip flops
are made by Yellow Box. I have a ton of colors & I am continuously
adding to my collection. I even laughed the other day after I thought about inventorying them,
so I don't purchase duplicates. LOL! These are the ones I have worn so far
this spring. Many more to come!!!
Basket #2: All of my other flip flops - I also love Vera Bradley, Havaianas, & Rocket Dogs.
These are the baskets that I use (but mine are brown baskets).
They are Burlington baskets with liners and I purchased mine from Wal-Mart
when I was pregnant with my daughter. After she grew out of the changing table, I
decided to use them. When I looked them up online, they weren't on the Website
anymore. So, I guess they are sold out. Here is a similar one on Amazon, though.
I keep all of my nicer shoes in clear plastic boxes on a shelf at the top of my closet. Sorry about
the awful lighting in these pictures. It is really hard to take good pictures in a closet. : )
I cut the front off of the shoe boxes and place them in the front of the plastic boxes,
so I know exactly what is in each box.
I store my nicer shoes in these clear Iris shoes boxes.
I purchased mine several years ago from Sam's Club, but you can
also purchase them from other retailers like Organize-It.
How do you organize your shoes?!?!

Happy Shoe-Organizing,

I store mine very similar to the way you do. I store all of my shoes in plastic bins marked with a picture of the shoe. I have my flip flops all stored together as well. I use to have tons of pairs until I fell in love with Roxy brand flip flops and tossed out just about everything else.
ReplyDeleteI may have to check out the Roxy flip flops. I am always up to trying new flip flips. :) Have a great Wednesday.
