Spring Blocks!

Over the weekend, I created "Spring" blocks that I will display on my entertainment center in the living room throughout the Spring season. I wanted to share this little project with everyone. After I have my Spring decorating done, I will post a few pictures. : )

Supplies
wooden blocks (The size depends on how large you would like them. I got mine from Home Depot.)
acrylic paint (I used Folk Arts paint from Wal-Mart)
small foam paint brush
scrapbook paper
Mod Podge
scissors
pencil
hot glue gun & glue sticks
chipboard letters (I purchased mine from Hobby Lobby)

The blocks after two coats of paint.

The scrapbook paper that I picked up at Hobby Lobby to use on
my blocks.

I traced & cut around each piece of scrapbook paper so
they would fit on my blocks.

Then, I used Mod Podge to seal the paper to the back of the blocks.

Then, I hot glued the chipboard letters to each block.

The final product. All that is left to do is sand the edges. Some of the scrapbook
paper is too large for the blocks, so I need to sand it down to make it even. Also,
sanding gives it a little bit of character.

A closeup.

One more closeup.

Now, on to my next Spring decoration... a Spring printable!!!
