Over the past couple of months, I have loaded y'all down with pictures after pictures after pictures of what I wanted to do in our soon-to-be office. Well, I am FINALLY getting the chance to show you some actual progress. The painting is {possibly} complete (I will explain the possibly part later on in this post)! We have two coats of paint on the walls and we are now ready to start filling the room with office furniture and accessories.
So, without further ado, here is the first step in our dining room/office transformation...
The before
a dining room...
The process
after furniture removal...
priming the walls...
My husband will love me for including him in a picture. ; )
taping the walls...
the color...
{Sherwin Williams Repose Gray}
The after
the crown molding...
the window wall...
The tan wall on the left is in the entryway.
the garage entryway wall with two different types of lighting...
The archway going into the entryway...
the wall to the left of the window...
The ceiling...
Here is where the {possibly} part comes in to play... We decided to leave the red color
on our beveled ceiling. Since red is one of the three colors in our office, we thought
we would see if it adds a nice contrast once everything gets added to the room. If it doesn't
look right, we will repaint it repose gray as well.
The before & after
We are extremely happy with the outcome! Sorry that the pictures are not real vibrant. I noticed it was very hard to get really good lighting when you are taking a picture of a light color wall. : )
All of the painting is done and the desks have been ordered. Once our desks arrive and we get them set up, I will update everyone on our progress.
I hope everyone has a wonderful first week of May!!!
Happy Creating,

I love the color you picked! I think it is bright and feels bigger. You have so many decor options as well! Good job!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!! ;) I feel that it looks bigger too. I think the lighter color opens the room up and makes me feel a lot happier when I am in there. LOL!!!

ReplyDeleteThank you! I can't wait until it all gets finished so I can show everyone.
DeleteLove the new wall color! Really opens the space. Is it May already???
