So, Let Me Tell You About My Deck!

Happy Thursday everyone! In the next couple of weeks, my family and I will be the proud owners of a new deck. A deck? What is so exciting about a deck, you might ask? Take a look at this picture...

Ahhh!!! I love the look of this deck! Everything from the layout/style to the landscaping around it. It looks like the perfect outside place to sit in the mornings, drink a cup of coffee, and read my daily blogs. Blogs are like my newspaper! : )

Eventually, I would love to have the pagoda that sits on the top of the deck like the one pictured. Overall, I think it will be a great family hangout. And, I LOVE family hangouts and get-togethers!!!

And, on a more serious note, maybe my daughter will stop strapping her knees all the time. The steps going out to our patio are very sharp (they are actually bricks) and everytime she goes outside she either falls up them (yes, up them) or down them. Then, it requires Neosporin and a band aid, of course. And, she loves her princess band aids so much that she will wear one for days after the incident. LOL!

The vocational school in our county will be completing this awesome project for us. Remember, they were the ones that created my kitchen nook?!?!

Here is a look at our backyard and patio now...

We called and had the utility companies come out and mark where our lines are under the ground...

And, here is a look at where the deck will be placed in our backyard...

I can't wait until they get started, which should be in the next week or two. And, I can't wait to share the progress and final result with everyone.

Happy Creating,

  1. Can't wait to see how it turns out. Looks like it's going to be a nice big deck. My parents have a gorgeous deck with a pergola and I can't wait to have one myself (someday when we stop moving around and actually own again).

    1. It is actually going to be a lot bigger than I originally planned. My husband's decision. LOL!!! But, since the vocational school is doing it for us, the cost isn't bad at all. ;)
