May Challenge: Household Binder (Important Info)

Welcome to another section of my binder process. Last week, we went over the food section. Two weeks ago, we went through the finance section, and the first week, I showed everyone my binder cover and binder.

This week's section involves all of my important information and documents. So, I guess you could say that this section is pretty important and a huge time saver. If I am looking for the number to Kate's pediatrician, then all I have to do is open up my handy little binder and Wallah!!! It is going to be great.

Today, I am going to share with you the following information:
  • business card holder
  • important dates sheet
  • personal information sheet
  • home information sheet

The first item in this section is an orange pocket divider. I do not have anything in this little pocket yet, but I am sure something will eventually wind up in there. I will update you with any of that information. ; )

Next, I purchased a set of baseball card pocket pages for $4.98 at Wal-Mart to hold all of the business cards I have at home. These business cards include dentists, doctors, banks, and any other important numbers I may need later.

As much as I hate to admit it, I am getting older. Which means that I tend to forget important dates. Actually, there are many days that I do not even know the day of the month we are currently on. So, to help out my aging brain, I decided to make an important dates printable. Now, I can remember family and friends' birthdays and anniversaries.

Up next are two documents that are going to save me A LOT of time... Have you ever needed an account number and you had to go dig through months of receipts to find it? I have too!!! So, I decided to create two printables with important account numbers, phone numbers, and names in order to help out everyone in my family.

Next week, I will show everyone the blog section of my binder, recap everything I have shown you this month, and include a link to each one of the printables I have created. I will also give you a sneak peek into next month's challenge... Any guesses or suggestions for future months?!?!

    2. Thank you so much! I am glad you like it. And, thank you for the name compliment. I thought long and hard about it. My blog was named something different until January. I tried to find a catchy name, and I am pretty happy about what I came up with. LOL!!! Plus, it is totally me. ;)

  2. Is your blog an intentional rip-off of iheartorganizing?

    1. No it isn't. If you looked at my first household binder post, I stated that I got the idea from Jen @ iheartorganizing. I gave her credit for the idea and even posted a link to her binder post. I am not trying to steal anyone's idea. I give credit where credit needs to be given. I never take other people's work as my own.

    2. I did make all of these forms myself using Excel, Word, and Photoshop.

  4. My home management binder is in SERIOUS need of a revamp. I love how you broke it down by week. I may have to attack it this way as well. Seeing as how anything more than that makes me wanna just forget it!

    1. Definitely take it one step at a time. I get a little overwhelmed myself if I don't do that with projects. I get so frustrated that I have no idea where to start. LOL!!!
