During the holiday season, my daughter's elf, Holly, came to visit us. She did her normal escapades where she gets into things, brings Kate small gifts, and socializes with her stuffed animals. But, she did a little extra this time.
For awhile now, we have tried to get Kate on a nightly routine... brush her teeth, pick out her school clothes, say her prayers, etc. Nothing we tried had worked up to this point. It seemed like one night she would be great on the schedule and the next night would be complete chaos.
When Holly came to visit, we let her sleep in the bed with Kate. Well, my daughter has only had maybe one accident in the middle of the night... until now. By the time she woke me and her daddy up, she had peed a puddle on the sheets (thank goodness for the waterproof liner we have over our mattress) and saturated Holly. It was so bad that Holly had to go back to the North Pole for a few days to have Santa give her a check-up to make sure she was going to be ok. Holly came back with a small cold, but overall, no major damage was done.
So, what did we do?!?! We decided to use this experience and Holly to get Kate on a schedule at night time.
When Holly came back from the North Pole, she brought Kate this checklist that we plan on laminating and hanging in her bathroom.
I hope this printable will be the solution that we have been looking for. I will keep y'all updated!
