My husband, daughter, & I built our house in 2009. We were still in our twenties and so thankful that we were even able to buy a house let alone build one. So, we built a small home that we could afford and didn't think much about the furniture and home decor that went inside.
When you are young, you take furniture handouts from any family members that are willing to part with them. So, we have a lot of furniture that we don't love, but it was "free" at the time. We are now ready to take that next step and settle into our own style and completely (and slowly) transform our house into something that is "ours."So, sit back, prop your feet up, and watch our journey into making our house a home.
As my husband and I tackle each room, I will post the final product with a source list. I hate to find something I really love online and can't find out where it was purchased. So, I am going to make sure I do a good job at posting my sources.
